The study focuses on patients with metastatic castration‑resistant prostate cancer, a form of prostate cancer that has spread beyond the prostate and no longer responds to hormone therapy that lowers testosterone. The purpose of the study is to compare how well a new medicine called BNT324 works against the standard chemotherapy drug docetaxel given together with the steroid prednisone.
Participants will be assigned by chance (randomized) to receive either the new treatment or the standard treatment. The new medicine is given by a drip into a vein (intravenous) at a dose based on body weight, while the standard chemotherapy is also given by vein infusion and the steroid is taken as a pill (oral). Treatments are given in repeated cycles, and patients will have regular doctor visits, blood tests, and imaging scans to see how the disease is responding.
Throughout the study, doctors will monitor for any side effects and check whether the cancer grows or spreads, using simple terms like “progression‑free” meaning the cancer has not gotten worse, and “overall survival” meaning how long a patient lives. The information collected will help determine which treatment may be more effective for this condition.
